Stress

Everyday stress can be difficult to manage as often the stress is caused by something that happens regularly such as work. While it is normal for people to go through periods of extreme stress at some point in their lives, clients come to me when stress starts to affect their everyday lives or their health.

Long term stress can have an effect on your health and occasionally I work with clients who suffer from hypertension or high blood pressure as a result of their stress.

Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) mainly work to help you manage your stress levels. I use hypnosis to help you learn to relax and give you a break from the hectic world around you. I then teach you how to hypnotise or relax yourself so that you can lower your own stress levels whenever you need to.

CBT focuses on your thoughts and how they affect your feelings so we would mainly focus on how you think about stressful situations and how you can switch off, especially if your stress keeps you awake at night.
